Envisioning Tomorrow
In our interconnected world, achieving SDG17: Partnership for the Goals is vital to creating a shared
sustainable future, and this is an endeavor we must undertake together. WFWS-2024 brings together
diverse voices of all genders from around the world to engage in dialogue and knowledge-sharing.
Beginning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we emphasize the importance of ethical
approaches, transnational collaboration, and science as a tool for diplomacy and positive change. Join
us to explore how through global cooperation, science can bring about a more equitable, sustainable
and united future.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The final submission deadline has passed. Thanks to everyone who submitted an abstract or session. The notification of acceptance will be send out on March 26 and the final schedule will be published on April 3, 2024. Registration for the participation in the networking event in Rome is still open.
PRELIMENARY PROGRAMME
Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 April 2024, Online
The programme will be published on March 26th. Panel presentations on scientific contributions to the SDGs, with a focus on:
- Zero hunger (SDG 2)
- Good health and well-being (SDG 3)
- Quality education (SDG 4)
- Gender equality (SDG 5)
- Clean water and sanitation (SDG 6)
- Affordable and clean energy (SDG 7)
- Industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9)
- Reduced inequalities (SDG 10)
- Sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11)
- Climate action (SDG 13)
- Partnerships for the goals (SDG 17)
- 15-minute presentations will be followed by panel discussion on the transversal themes

Workshop on science communication and narratives
Friday 19 April 2024, Parco della Musica, Rome, Italy
The networking event in Rome will allow to consolidate and enlarge a growing global community, and enhance dialogue and collaboration between the Global North and the Global South. We will discuss global partnerships, science diplomacy, gender equality, the contribution of science, and the future we want.
The event will start at 9 am at Parco della Musica. It will include presentations, networking, a closing panel and a gala dinner in the evening. It is free and it is part of the Festival delle Scienze.
